Tribute to Joan Jackson, 1932 - 2026

Joan was such a character ♥️ She was one amazing, kind, loving, funny and generous woman. She always shared with me tips about cooking, making old fashioned food, her mums way. She valued her family SO MUCH and always said how lucky she was. She loved hearing about their travels and always wanted a fridge magnet to remind her where they had been. (This was the same for me too!) Joan loved life. ...and shopping. ..and eating out. ...and fashion. Actually...too many things to mention. She always had a cheeky comment and a giggle. She brought a smile to so many people. She had friends EVERYWHERE!! Barleylands, Alpha garden centre, in fact everywhere she went. I even remember her telling me about chatting to a chap at a funeral and sitting in his 'flash' car.. because she wanted to.. Joan...my dearest, kindest friend. I hope you're resting now, somewhere lovely and warm, with a boiled egg and buttered 'soldiers', or with a lamb chop with your home made mint sauce. Please know, I will always be grateful that I knew you. Love always... R.I.P.❤️❤️

Ah Joan, a delightful lady. You will be missed, at the next party, the next dinner, the next Christmas. You were always up for a celebration, being with people, always wanting to chat and meet everyone. And all your knitting and crochet, still keeping us warm, years and years after you made it. Thank you for all your warmth and inclusion, thank you for your celebration of life. You will be sorely missed.
